Full House Flood Relief Outreach: Rebuilding Hope After the Storm for Three Families
At Full House Furniture, we believe our responsibility to the communities we serve extends far beyond providing quality home furniture and household appliances. When disaster strikes, it’s about standing alongside our customers, neighbours, and local towns when they need support most.
Following the devastating floods that swept across the Western Cape in May 2026, many families were left with damaged homes and the heartbreaking loss of essential household goods. With many of our furniture stores located in towns across the province, including Worcester, Atlantis, and Bonnievale, our teams witnessed the impact first-hand. Roads were closed, communities were cut off, and countless families faced the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch.
As a team, we knew we had to act.
Turning Compassion into Action: The Full House Flood Relief Initiative
Together with our valued supplier partners, we launched the Full House Flood Relief Initiative to help Western Cape families begin the recovery process.
We invited the public to nominate families who had been severely affected. After receiving many heartfelt nominations, three deserving families were selected:
- Chandre from Atlantis
- Crezelda from Worcester
- Santie from Bonnievale
Each family received a carefully assembled Flood Relief Package featuring home essentials designed to help them start fresh:
- Kitchen Essentials: A energy-efficient fridge, a reliable gas stove, a breakfast pack with kitchenware, and a R2,000 grocery voucher.
- Bedroom Comfort: A comfortable double bed, warm blankets, and quality pillows.
- Living Room Furniture: A sturdy, comfortable lounge suite to help make their living space feel like home again.
While the need across our province was far greater than any single organisation could meet, we are deeply grateful to our supplier partners for helping us bring practical relief and renewed hope to these three families.
